Thornton plays despite illness

Bruins forward Shawn Thornton was able to play Wednesday in St. Louis despite battling a recent illness.

Coach Claude Julien had said Thornton would be a game-time decision, and Thornton was apparently healthy enough to get the nod after being on the ice for the pregame skate.
