Video: Melrose likes what he sees in B's

ESPN's Barry Melrose said the Bruins' strong start was just what they needed in this shortened season, and that with their tough defense and timely goal scoring, they will be tough to beat.

"I love the way the Bruins are playing," said Melrose. "They look like they're in midseason form already."

He points to the team's shut-down penalty kill ("best in the NHL") and noted that the power play is improving.

"The Bruins are always going to win defense first, offense second, and if you're looking at that point of view, they're doing that," he added.

Melrose even went as far to say that this team appears to have championship qualities.

"All in all, the Bruins are looking great... they look like the Boston Bruins that won the Stanley Cup a couple years ago," he said.
