Chiarelli to make 5 or 6 cuts
By Joe McDonald
BOSTON -- Boston Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli said he will make five or six cuts before the Bruins’ first on-ice workout on Saturday, but most of the rookies will participate in main camp.
The organization’s rookies have been going at it at an intense pace during the past week that ended with a pair of victories at TD Garden against the New York Islanders rookie squad. The Bruins rookies won 5-2 on Wednesday and 2-1 on Thursday.
The first official day of training camp for the Boston Bruins is Friday at TD Garden, when the veterans arrive for physicals.
