Guard Gabe Pruitt, who won a championship with the Celtics during two seasons in Boston, has signed with the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League.

The Celtics drafted Pruitt in the second round (32nd overall) of the 2007 draft and he appeared in 62 games before being waived this past offseason. He latched on with the New York Knicks and spent part of training camp there, but was waived in early October.

Pruitt, a native of Los Angeles, who played at nearby USC, was waived by the D-Fenders in November due to injury. Healthy again, he'll rejoin the minor league affiliate of the Lakers.
