WALTHAM, Mass. -- Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers was not present for Monday's practice session at the Sports Authority Training Center at HealthPoint.

According to the team, Rivers was attending to a personal matter and was expected to be back Tuesday before the Celtics travel to Miami for the start of a three-game road trip on Wednesday.

Associate head coach Tom Thibodeau led the Celtics through practice and is expected to address the media following the session.
