Losers of seven of their last 11 games after Monday's loss to the Dallas Mavericks, the Boston Celtics have slipped to fifth in the latest ESPN.com NBA Power Rankings.

Writes Marc Stein: "Remember back when 'Sheed was talking up the idea that Boston could make a run at 73 wins? Whether or not he was serious, now you simply wonder whether KG, Pierce or 'Sheed will end up playing in 73 games."

It's even worse in John Hollinger's statistical rankings, where the Celtics have plummeted to eighth.
