Video: Pierce, Doc on final shot
Pierce on the final play: "That's a shot I hit a number of times in playoffs and regular season. I told the coaches, 'Give me the ball on the right side.' I got to my sweet spot, made sure there wasn't any time left, and drained it."
Rivers on the final play: "The last play we had two different plays called just in case they fouled. The play was for Paul, but we wanted activity and we thought if we could get a flare for Ray, it would allow Paul to go to his right, which is what happened. He waited a long time. We told, 'Last shot,' but I do not know if we meant it to that extent. I was not sure if he got it off when he first shot it, but it's a make-miss league and the ball went in."
