Detroit's Charlie Villanueva appeared to launch some strong accusations at Boston's Kevin Garnett following the Celtics' 109-86 triumph over the Pistons Tuesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills, suggesting via Twitter that Garnett called him a "cancer patient" as part of in-game trash-talking.

A series of Tweets directed at Boston's forward were posted to Villanueva’s Twitter account: "KG called me a cancer patient, I'm pissed because, u know how many people died from cancer, and he's tossing it like it's a joke," and then, "I wouldn't even trip about that, but a cancer patient, I know way 2 many people who passed away from it, and I have a special place 4 those."

Villanueva has alopecia universalis, a variation of alopecia areata, an autoimmune skin disease, which results in hair loss, but is not otherwise life-threatening. He scored a team-high 17 points over 33 minutes, then, according to his Twitter posts, initially challenged Garnett's toughness before making the cancer accusations.

"KG talks alot of crap, he's prob never been in a fight, I would love to get in a ring with him, I will expose him," Villanueva appeared to write via Twitter.
