DENVER -- With two hours until the NBA's trade deadline, the Boston Celtics took the floor Thursday morning at the Pepsi Center in preparation for tonight's joust with the new-look Denver Nuggets. And even amidst the chaos of the deadline, Celtics coach Doc Rivers said his focus is on the task at hand.

"For us, the deadline is the deadline," River shrugged. "That goes away. I don't worry about it."

Rivers said he's more concerned with figuring out how to prep his troops for a Denver squad that boasts four new faces after Monday's blockbuster swap that sent Carmelo Anthony to the New York Knicks. The Nuggets expect to have Wilson Chandler, Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, and Timofey Mozgov available for Thursday's nationally televised battle.

"For us, defensively, nothing changes," said Rivers. "Guarding them, heck, we're not going to know who they are. We're going to be who we are anyway."

Celtics center Kendrick Perkins suggested at shootaround that he'll wait "five or six" days to let a mild sprain of his left MCL heal, but hoped to return before the end of Boston's four-game road trip.

"No, I might play in one of these games," said Perkins. Asked if he was serious, he added emphatically, "Yeah, I'm a Celtic, man."
