Every time we hear a new announcement for a Celtics preseason game, we hesitate to pass it along given the uncertainty about when the 2011-12 NBA season will begin with a potential lockout looming. But if you're an optimist and believe that, one way or another, these games will be played, here's three preseason dates the Celtics have penciled in, according to Ticketmaster:

* Sat., Oct. 15 vs. New York Knicks -- Times Union Center, Albany, NY
* Wed., Oct. 19 vs. Philadelphia 76ers -- Mullins Center, Amherst
* Sat., Oct. 22 vs. New York Knicks -- XL Center, Hartford, Conn.
