On hand representing the Celtics were former standout players Bob Cousy, Dave Cowens, Tommy Heinsohn, Tom "Satch" Sanders, JoJo White, Cedric Maxwell, and Dana Barros. Joining the former players were a handful of Celtics dancers, as well as the team's mascot, Lucky.
A large crowd flooded the outdoor patio, where guests mingled with the former players, who posed for pictures and signed numerous autographs. Select groups of VIP attendees later sat down for a formal dinner with the players, before Celtics public address announcer Eddie Palladino emceed a raffle.
Cowens, who attended the event with his wife, Debbie, reflected on the event, co-hosted by XFINITY, and being around so many other great Celtics.
"First of all, the hors d'oeuvres are [fantastic]," Cowens said lightheartedly. "Being here with my wife, Debbie, and seeing these different guys, it's been a lot of fun. It's a nice event. Of course, you've got the Shamrock Foundation and all of the good works that they do, so I'm glad that it's a full house. I'm glad that people are interested in contributing and supporting all the good work that the Celtics are involved with."
