Basketball is back in Boston

BOSTON -- Basketball returned to the TD Garden Friday night as the Celtics held an intrasquad scrimmage for season-ticket holders and corporate sponsors in a tune-up for Sunday's exhibition opener in Toronto.

The Green team -- featuring Marquis Daniels, JaJuan Johnson, Chris Wilcox, Avery Bradley, Keyon Dooling, and Greg Stiemsma -- defeated the White team -- featuring Ray Allen, Brandon Bass, Jermaine O'Neal, E'Twaun Moore, Rajon Rondo, Gilbert Brown, and Michael Sweetney -- 52-51 when Bradley drilled a baseline jumper at the buzzer.

Moore had drained a 3-pointer with 0.8 seconds remaining (atoning for stepping out of bounds in a tied game earlier) to put the White ahead. But Bradley answered for the win.

Wilcox tossed in a game-high 17 points for Green, while Bass paced the White with 13 points.

Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce (sore right heel) and Sasha Pavlovic (left hand injury) were in attendance, but did not participate.
