The Boston Celtics waived training camp invites Michael Sweetney and Gilbert Brown Thursday, dropping the roster to 14 players as the regular season nears.

Celtics coach Doc Rivers hinted Thursday that two more roster cuts were imminent and the team appears to have moved quick after its afternoon practice session. Earlier in the day, the team waived Jamal Sampson.

Boston brought four invites into training camp, but only D-League standout Greg Stiemsma remains.
