MIAMI -- Celtics forward Chris Wilcox suffered a bruised left shoulder in the first half of Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat and will not return, according to the team.

X-rays on the injury were negative. Wilcox grabbed three rebounds in nine minutes Tuesday.

Update: Doc Rivers after the game: "He got hit pretty badly. I know they think it's a deep bruise. He's probably out [Wednesday vs. New Orleans]."
