Celtics forward Kevin Garnett will miss Sunday's game against the Detroit Pistons due to a personal family matter, according to the team.

Garnett will be officially listed as day-to-day following Sunday's game, but could also miss Monday's tilt in Dallas.

Garnett sat out Wednesday's loss to the Pistons with a sore left hip before returning to the court Thursday in Chicago. It was the only game he had previously missed this season.

Chris Wilcox is expected to again start in place of Garnett against the Pistons.
