Change in scenery aids Celtics
“We’re playing at home, we have to give it all out, and it will be out,” said Garnett. “The Jungle was rocking tonight. I want to thank all the fans who came out. The f------ Jungle was rocking tonight! I loved it. I f------ loved it. F--- it.”
Even an hour after Friday's Game 3 win, Garnett's intensity hadn't quite worn off. Coming off a dominating 24-point, 11-rebound effort that narrowed Miami's lead in the series to 2-1, it's easy to see why Garnett would still be so emphatic.
The Celtics made a lot about how Miami had simply held serve by winning the first two games at AmericanAirlines Arena. Boston can do the same with a win Sunday night in Game 4. But does home court really matter that much?
"People always ask me, 'Does it make that much of a difference?' It's hard to really say," admitted veteran guard Ray Allen. "I know that, in my years past in the playoffs, it does affect the younger players on the roster that you're playing, but, with the veteran players, guys come and they do their jobs the same. But it's really hard to say. We're definitely glad to be in our building, that's one thing for sure."
