A source confirmed that the Nets are interested in free agent Ryan Hollins to fill their backup center role. The source said the Clippers and Hornets also have interest in the 27-year-old veteran.
Hollins made 15 regular-season appearances with the Celtics after being swooped up off the waiver wire to provide depth in Boston's battered frontcourt. Hollins went on to appear in 17 playoff games, averaging 1.5 points and 1.6 rebounds over 10 minutes per game. The 27-year-old 7-footer could be an instigator and earned court time with his energy, but is unlikely to return to Boston after the team started to replenish its frontcourt early in free agency.
