The Boston Celtics are in the basement of the ESPN NBA Power Rankings after Week 1 of the season. Boston plummeted five spots after an 0-3 spot and landed at No. 30.

Writes curator Marc Stein: "That six-year contract from the Celts affords Brad Stevens more security and leeway than pretty much any coach on the NBA map not named Popovich. Yet it still has to be culture shock to be staring at the first three-game losing streak he's lived through since December 2011 back at Butler U."

This week's schedule features a visit from No. 29 Utah on Wednesday, while the Celtics are on the road against Memphis (15), Orlando (17), and Miami (5).
