BOSTON -- Boston Celtics rookie forward/center Kelly Olynyk suffered a sprained right ankle in the first half of Friday's visit from the Indiana Pacers and will not return.

Olynyk came up limping after a Pacers player landed on his right leg and the two spilled to the floor chasing a rebound. Olynyk tried walking it off, but soon retreated to the locker room with trainer Ed Lacerte and team physician Dr. Brian McKeon.

Olynyk, recently elevated back to the starting lineup, had two points and two rebounds over 12 minutes. For the season, he's averaging 7.9 points and 5.7 rebounds over 23.5 minutes per game.

Kris Humphries replaced Olynyk in the starting lineup to open the second half.
