The Boston Celtics formally signed forward Chris Johnson to a 10-day contract on Friday.

Johnson adds additional depth at the swingman position after a midweek trade left Boston thin on the wing.

The 14th Gatorade Call-Up from the D-League this season, Johnson was shooting 47 percent from the field, 36.7 percent from 3-point territory and 84.1 percent from the free throw line. Johnson also has recorded the sixth highest offensive rating in the D-League this season amongst all players that have played 10 games or more with a rating of 114.6. The former Dayton University Flyer appeared in eight games for the Memphis Grizzlies during the 2012-13 season and averaged 3.6 points and 1.4 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game.
