The Boston Celtics (19-34, 11-16 home) host the San Antonio Spurs (37-15, 19-7 away) on Wednesday night at TD Garden (7:30 p.m., CSN). Here's what to watch for:

  • FINISHING STRONG: The Celtics have won four of five games in February, feasting on the four teams with the worst record in basketball. Wednesday's visit from the dinged-up Spurs will provide a much stiffer test, but will also allow Boston to gauge just how much progress it has made in recent days. Rajon Rondo is expected to be available after sitting out the second night of a back-to-back Monday in Milwaukee, but Avery Bradley is likely out while battling a sore right ankle (Gerald Wallace could be in line for another spot start).

  • SHORTHANDED SPURS: Tony Parker (rest) and Tiago Splitter (right calf contusion) have been ruled out a San Antonio team that is already playing without Manu Ginobili (hamstring) and Kawhi Leonard (finger). Danny Green is battling a hand injury as well. The Spurs are just 5-5 in their last 10 and lost in Detroit on Monday night. For the season, the Spurs still have an impressive resume, ranking seventh in the league in offensive rating and fourth in defensive rating.

  • LOOSE BALLS: This is the second and final meeting of the season. San Antonio posted a 104-93 victory over visiting Boston in November. As STATS LLC points out, the Spurs have won four straight over Boston while allowing an average of 91.8 points per game. ... Jared Sullinger is riding a six-game double-double streak. The second-year center is headed to the Rising Stars Challenge (with rookie Kelly Olynyk) at this weekend's All-Star game in New Orleans. ... The Celtics will be off from game action for a week after Wednesday's game with the team reconvening next Monday in Phoenix after the All-Star break.
