SULLINGER VS. COUSINS, ROUND II! Jared Sullinger and DeMarcus Cousins locked horns earlier this month in a game that saw both score 31 points (a career high for Sullinger) and grab 16 rebounds. Cousins missed Sacramento's last game with a hip injury, but is expected back versus Boston. Kings coach Mike Malone told reporters, "Jared Sullinger had his way with us [and] we have an opportunity to pay him back, let him know that he's not going to do that to us again in our building."
BAYLESS VS. THOMAS, ROUND II? Jerryd Bayless and Isaiah Thomas, former AAU teammates, got into a little dust-up earlier this month with Thomas calling Bayless a "fake tough guy." Given that Rajon Rondo expected to sit out on the second night of a back-to-back as precaution (Boston is playing its third game in four nights), Bayless will likely see an elevated role in Boston's backcourt and part of his job will be slowing down Thomas. Rookie point guard Phil Pressey has been the typical starter for Boston when Rondo is out.
