Wallace gets technical rescinded
By Chris Forsberg
Clearly it's the holiday season as Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace recently got a present from the league office.
According to the NBA, one of Wallace's technical fouls has been rescinded, dropping his season total to nine. The call in question came during a Nov. 29 win over Miami in which referee Bennett Salvatore hit Wallace with a first-quarter technical after he argued for a foul call after making a short jumper. At the time, Wallace claimed he simply screamed, "And one!" after the play and said he hoped the technical would be rescinded.
Wallace remains at the top of the league in technicals this season.
News of the rescinded technical was first reported by A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com.
Celtics coach Doc Rivers also had a technical foul rescinded earlier this season, when the league reviewed a call made against him in a loss to the Indiana Pacers Nov. 14.
Rivers now has one technical foul this season, from a win over Toronto Nov. 27.
