After forcing a turnover on a bad pass by Jeremy Lin, Rajon Rondo broke the other way, but the Rockets matched Boston's 3-on-3 numbers. Rondo dribbled to the right blocks and, with a defender near Paul Pierce trailing on the left wing, Rondo simply waited as Green streaked down the middle of the court. A little granny-style flip got the ball to Green at the free throw line and he took just one step before launching from the dotted line and throwing down the loud dunk.
During his soar to the basket, Green split Omer Asik and Carlos Delfino, the latter of whom tried to step up and take the charge, but instead slammed to the ground (getting drilled by the ball after it passed through the cylinder, too).
On a frustrating night for the Celtics, Jeff Green provided a small highlight with an emphatic second-quarter slam that earned the title of ESPN's Dunk of the Night.
