It seems the future is on hold at Boston College.
Quarterback Chase Rettig, a highly touted true freshman making his collegiate debut, sprained his left ankle Saturday night during the Eagles' 31-13 loss to Notre Dame and will miss at least a few weeks and perhaps the rest of the season, according to the Boston Globe.
Hettig showed some promise against the Irish, chiefly on a 58-yard touchdown pass to Bobby Swigert, but left the game early in the second quarter after throwing just 10 passes.
