BC coach talks strategy at Sox game
By Jack McCluskey
Frank Spaziani joined Joe Castiglione and Dave O’Brien in the booth during Thursday afternoon’s Red Sox -Royals game at Fenway Park to talk BC football and the Eagles’ relationship with the Jimmy Fund.
The third-year head coach talked up “the Boy Wonder” Luke Kuechly, stud running back Montel Harris and sophomore quarterback Chase Rettig -- which led to an unwittingly funny aside from O’Brien, who said it could be a big year for Boston players named Reddick (referring to Josh Reddick) -- and discussed the Eagles’ upcoming schedule.
Spaziani also revealed that the offense will look a little different this season -- but not because of new offensive coordinator Kevin Rogers
Spaziani joked that his mother-in-law said she was having trouble picking up the ball while watching games, because the Eagles handed the ball off to Harris so often.
“So I told her we’re going to throw more this season,” Spaziani said. “That way she’ll be able to pick the ball up in the air.”
