EVERETT, Mass. -- After an historic Friday evening in the history of Massachusetts high school football, Everett quarterback Jonathan DiBiaso was a near-unanimous choice for ESPN Boston's Player of the Week.
The senior signal-caller opened up the No. 1 Crimson Tide's Greater Boston League slate in exciting fashion, tossing six touchdown passes in the first half of a 41-14 rout of Medford. In the process, he eclipsed the all-time mark of 85 career touchdown throws set decades ago by Brockton's Tommy Colombo. DiBiaso finished the night at 88 career scoring strikes, and with as many as five games left in his career could surpass the century mark.
