Woburn's Shea commits to UMass-Lowell

Woburn hockey head coach Jim Duran confirmed Wednesday that senior forward Casey Shea has given a verbal commitent to UMass-Lowell.

Shea will join the River Hawks in either the 2013-14 or 2014-15 season. Last season, the winger helped lift the Tanners to a Super 8 appearance and was an ESPN Boston All-State Best of the Rest selection.

"It's a tremendous accomplishment and a credit to public school hockey," Duran said. "We're very excited for Casey."
