The MIAA boys' hockey Top 25 poll for this week has been updated here.

As teams continue to jockey for position in their respective league races, we've found that very little has been established through the first half of the season. For the most part, things are wide open across the state with everything beyond out top three squads (Malden Catholic, St. Mary's of Lynn and BC High for the fourth week running) up for grabs. So who wil grab the remaining "Super 8" spots? Who are the favorites for the respective state tournaments? You're guess is as good as ours.

With that being said, the big movers in this week's poll were Burlington and Springfield Cathedral. Burlington moved up seven spots to No. 11 after sweeping their season series with Middlesex League rival Woburn. Meanwhile, the Panthers made their Top 10 debut, jumping to No. 9 following last week's win over Catholic Memorial.

Moving back into the poll this week was Braintree, sliding into No.25 after a 3-2 win over Needham. That left Franklin on the outs; the Panthers saw their perfect mark go by the boards in a 3-2 loss to Hockomock rival Canton.
