G-D's McCarron commits to UMass-Lowell

Groton-Dunstable guard Rachel McCarron has committed to UMass-Lowell for the 2013-14 season, according to her AAU basketball program, Mass. Rivals.

The 5-foot-8 McCarron was named MVP of the Mid-Wach B for the second straight year this past season, averaing 13.8 points and 8.3 rebounds as the Crusaders qualified for the MIAA Division 2 Central touranment before bowing out in the first round.
