Former Xaverian hockey standout Jason Salvaggio committed to the University of Connecticut today. He will arrive in Storrs for the 2014-15 season.

The 5-foot-11, 187-pound left shot winger/center attends the South Kent School and skates with the Selects Advantage AAA team, which is based at the Connecticut school.

In September, Salvaggio was included on the NHL Central Scouting Watch list, receiving a 'C' grade.
