The ESPN Boston girls' soccer Top 20 poll for Week 5 has been updated.
Peabody remains No. 1 in the state as well as the nation. Central power Nashoba dropped several places after a string of ties and Oliver Ames moves down six spots after a disappointing loss to No. 5 Franklin. The Panthers also made a move in the latest NSCAA national girls' soccer poll, rising from No. 21 to inside the Top 20 at No. 19.
Bishop Feehan dropped out of the ESPN Boston Top 20 after a loss to Brockton and are replaced by Concord-Carlisle, which clinched a playoff spot this week join the C-C boys' program as one of the top teams in the state. Shawsheen, Pittsfield, and Apponoquet sit just outside the Top 20 despite unbeaten records.
