Bay State powers to meet N.J. puck titans at Harvard

The Nos. 1 and 2 teams in our preseason MIAA boys' hockey Top 25 poll will tussle with the top two programs from New Jersey last season this Saturday at Harvard's Bright Arena to open up their respective 2012-13 season schedules.

First up, No. 2 BC High will battle Don Bosco Prep with a 3 p.m. opening faceoff before two-time defending Super 8 champion Malden Catholic renews its rivalry with Garden State powerhouse Delbarton in the nightcap at 5:15 p.m. Delbarton has won five straight New Jersey state hockey titles.

Tickets for the games at Harvard are $10 for the two games and will be available at the arena and online at Malden Catholic alumni and friends are invited to enjoy a reception before and after the game in the Blue Line Club.
