Dion promoted to head Bedford hockey

Bedford High athletic director Keith Mangan announced this afternoon in an email to local media that Peter Dion has been named varsity boys' hockey head coach.

Dion is a 1988 graduate of Bedford High and served as an assistant coach with the Buccaneers in each of the last three seasons and has also coached at Chelmsford High.

He was a four-year varsity player at Bedford before playing with Fitchburg of the Eastern Junior Hockey League before graduating from the Wentworth Institute of Technology in 1992.
