Medfield lacrosse senior defenseman Ben Cox has given a verbal commitment to the University of Vermont, announced today on the Warriors official Twitter account.

The Warriors lacrosse captain is a multi-sport standout at Medfield and has garnered All-State consideration in both hockey and lacrosse, having been named a "Best of the Rest" honorable mention in the winter and a preseason lacrosse selection by ESPN Boston.

A four-year member of the lacrosse team, Cox was a part of back-to-back MIAA Division 2 state championship lacrosse teams. During the winter, Cox finished second on the Warriors hockey team in scoring, posting 12 goals for 38 points in 21 games.
