The Christie Serino Scholarship Fund hosted its inaugural golf outing at Turner Hill Country Club in Ipswich on Monday.

Members from across the Massachusetts hockey community attended the event including Bruins goaltender Tuukka Rask and notable Malden Catholic alumni.

The scholarship, which was established in October, following the former Lancers head coach's death, will be awarded annually to a Malden Catholic student who, according to the fund, is in good academic standing, demonstrates leadership skills, possess a strong commitment to the community, and is immersed in Malden Catholic extra-curricular activities.
