ESPNBoston.com presents the latest in our weekly Bracketology series, where we map out what the MIAA playoff picture would look like if playoffs started tomorrow. A reminder before reading: the Bracketology segment DOES NOT include teams who are currently in the playoff chase, as the top FOUR teams in Western Mass. will qualify for the playoffs.
For a reminder about point-system calculations, here is how the totals are added up for teams in Western Mass:
16 Points for defeating a team more than two divisions higher (excluding mandated games)
14 Points for defeating a team two divisions higher (excluding mandated games)
12 Points for defeating a team one division higher (excluding mandated games)
10 Points for defeating a team within your division, for defeating a team within your league (including mandatory crossovers), for defeating a team outside of Massachusetts
8 Points for defeating a team in one division lower (excluding mandated games)
6 Points for defeating a team in two divisions lower (excluding mandated games)
4 Points for defeating a team in more than two divisions lower (excluding mandated games)
2 Points for each of your opponent’s wins (a team you have defeated)
After adding up your team’s point total, divide the total number by the number of games your team has played.

Division 2 West
1. Westfield (6-0), 12.67 points
2. Central (5-1), 12.33 points
3. East Longmeadow (5-1), 9 points
4. Longmeadow (3-3), 6.67 points
Analysis: The only change in D2 West this week is Longmeadow slipping in for the fourth seed, taking over from previously seeded West Springfield following their 46-28 victory last week. Westfield will need to remain focused the next week weeks, they have to travel to East Longmeadow and Central for their final two games of the regular season.
Division 4 West
1. Wahconah (7-0), 15.71 points
2. Agawam (6-0), 15 points
3. Northampton (3-3), 6.33 points
4. Chicopee (2-4), 4.33 points
Analysis: D4 West has gone relatively unchanged since last week, with the only exception being South Hadley dropping out of the seeding—breaking the three-way tie for third. Northampton will take on Chicopee Comprehensive before traveling to Chicopee next weekend—a game that will likely decide who gets the third seed.
Division 5 West
1. Hoosac Valley (6-1), 13.43 points
2. Mount Greylock (6-1), 12.86 points
3. Easthampton (5-1), 12.33 points
4. Cathedral (4-2), 8.67 points
Analysis: Each team in the top four in D5 West has gained points since last week, but the standings have gone unchanged other than that. Mount Greylock could potentially take over the top seed after this weekend though, so long as they can beat top D4 seed Wahconah on Friday. Hoosac Valley will host Drury on Saturday for their final game of the regular season.
Division 6 West
1. McCann Tech (5-1), 12.33 points
2. Mohawk Trail (5-1), 12 points
3. Turners Falls (5-1), 11 points
4. Greenfield (5-1), 10.67 points
Analysis: Mohawk Trail jumps up to the second seed after Turners Falls lost to Easthampton. This week, Turners Falls will host Mahar, while Mohawk Trail will play host to Ware. McCann Tech , going up against Pioneer Valley Regional on Saturday, will look to avenge a loss to Franklin County Tech last week. McCann and Mohawk Trail are likely competing for the top seed this weekend.
