Mere days after helping her Newton North team to the Division 1 state title, Tigers soccer standout Christina Callahan has given her college commitment and signed with Holy Cross for next year.
Callahan's intent was made official via Newton North athletics' official Twitter account Tuesday night:

Callahan, a senior captain, was recently named the Bay State Conference's Most Valuable Player, after scoring 11 goals and posting eight assists from her midfield position. She also will be named an All-New England and All-American. Callahan will receive her All-American honor at the National Soccer Coaches Association of America awards banquet held in Philadelphia this January.
Christina Callahan becomes the second member of her family to play college soccer, as her brother, Matt, also a Newton North product, is a freshman defender at Northeastern.
