Dexter School senior offensive lineman and Boston College commit James Hendren told ESPNBoston.com this afternoon that he has received an offer from Penn State University, but will most likely honor his commitment to the Eagles.

The offers have continued to come in for the 6-foot-7, 307-pound Walpole resident even after he committed to BC last May over Rutgers, UMass, Old Dominion, Princeton and Harvard. Arkansas offered Hendren three weeks ago, while Wake Forest offered on the same day he committed to the Eagles. Vanderbilt also followed up with an offer after his commitment.

Hendren was honored as the NEPSAC Lineman of the Year after helping lead Dexter to a 7-2 campaign and a berth in the Tom Flaherty Bowl, where they lost to Milton Academy.
