Burlington High senior guard Shane Farley has verbally committed to Worcester Polytechnic Institute for the 2014-15 season, his AAU program announced this morning.

The two-time Middlesex League All-Star is a 20-point per night scorer and regarded as one of the league's top shooters. Per Boston Warriors AAU director Mark Papas, here is the official release:

The Boston Warriors are very proud to announce that long time player Shane Farley of Burlington High School has been admitted to and has committed to Worcester Polytechnic Institute. The 6-foot-3 versatile guard will fit in nicely perfectly with the perennial Division 3 Top 20 team.

The past two seasons Shane has averaged over 20 points per game with a school record (and 2012-2013 MIAA best) 50 points versus Wilmington. Shane has been a Middlesex League All Star the past 2 seasons, pre-season Boston Herald D2 Dream Team selection and recently scored his 1,000th career point.

As Burlington’s starting quarterback, Farley put together one of the best passing seasons in program history this past fall. He broke single-season records for touchdown passes (20), passing yards (1,930), and pass completions (144).
