One of the most exciting three weeks of the year, the MIAA Basketball State Championship Tournament, commences today. And with that, be sure to check in with ESPNBoston.com each and every night for up to the minute coverage of the day's events.

Here's what you can expect throughout the tournament:

Scoreboard Watching: At the conclusion of each night of the tournament, we'll post all of the scores throughout the state on our blog. Also be sure to follow along on the Twitter feeds of our writers (@BHallESPN, @ESPNScottB, @_ChrisBradley, @ESPNBostonHS) as we provide up-to-the-minute score updates on games in progress.

Nightly Top Performers: Each night, we will post our top performances of the day. You can nominate a top performance by reaching out to one of the aforementioned Twitter accounts, or to editor Brendan C. Hall (bhall@espnboston.com).

The Fan Experience: Our recurring "Snapshot" series has become a popular staple of this winter's basketball coverage, and we want to encourage continued fan interaction. Throughout the playoffs, we will be posting our favorite fan photos. Be sure to send your best stuff our way, through any of the aforementioned channels.

Live Chats: We had our first live chat of the basketball tournament season last night (Transcript HERE). Throughout the playoffs, expect live chats from games at all of the most popular venues, starting with this Sunday's Division 1 Central semifinals at Worcester's hallowed Harrington Auditorium. You can also expect live chats from the Lowell's Tsongas Center, UMass-Boston's Clark Athletic Center, TD Garden and DCU Center.

Broadcasting the playoffs: Look for occasional video recaps and breakdowns from Brendan C. Hall and the usual gang of correspondents, from the most important playoff games throughout the state.
