The Massachusetts landscape was littered with some creative and colorful fans in tonight's MIAA basketball tournament first round action. Here are the best tweets from tonight:

We'll start at Lynn English, where there was a prom proposal at halftime:



Next up is Cardinal Spellman, which brought a USA-themed crowd to Rockland tonight for the Cardinals' first-round win over Hanover. (And as several of my Twitter followers pointed out, just what the heck WAS Macklemore doing at a high school game?)



Gotta love the energy here from Everett's Lubern Figaro:



Billerica ended up losing a heartbreaker at Andover, surrendering a 10-point lead in the final three minutes, but the Indians brought a pretty sizeable crowd to the notoriously hostile Dunn Gymnasium:



OK, this one's hockey, but if you saw last night's Super 8 play-in game, this is worth mentioning:



The traditionally navy blue-clad Rockland fans went with all purple tonight:
