Snapshot: Bruce, Anderson win IFAF gold

Halfway across the world last night, Cambridge residents Shaquille Anderson and Khaneil Bruce helped the United States claim gold in the U-19 division of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF) World Championship.

In the gold medal championship game, USA beat Canada, 40-17, at Al-Nasr Stadium in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Bruce, an ESPN Boston All-State selection in two sports this past year at St. Clement High, caught two passes for 32 yards and a touchdown. Anderson, who has helped lead a resurgence at Cambridge Rindge & Latin, carried nine times for 36 yards.
