ESPN Boston presents: 'Since 1896'

In the first year of Massachusetts' new playoff plan, with a true state champion determined in six divisions, it should have come as no surprise Northbridge would again be in the mix.

Led by longtime head coach Ken LaChappelle -- a member of the 300-win club, having coached the Rams since 1976 -- football is a generational thing at Northbridge. There have been three generations of the LaChapelle family that have coached and played for the Rams, including the youngest, Ken's grandson Koby Schofer, who quarterbacked the Rams to the Division 5 championship game in December.

Schofer and the Rams made a late comeback to beat Hoosac Valley for the Div. 5 Central/Western Mass. title, earning their date at Gillette Stadium, where they would play Eastern Mass. champion Bishop Fenwick.

Greg Story followed Northbridge's run to Gillette and produced this mini-documentary for ESPN Boston.
