The MIAA unveiled its basketball brackets for the North, South and Central districts this morning, the full list of which can be found here. Western Mass will be released tomorrow morning.

The most intriguing of the bunch has got to be Division 1 North, where the top nine seeds come in with three losses or less. St. John's Prep (19-1) got the top seed over Cambridge (19-1), while No. 9 seed East Boston (15-3) travels to Sudbury to face Lincoln-Sudbury (17-3), among other intriguing first-round matchups. Moreover, Prep and ESPNBoston's No. 2 team, Central Catholic (a No. 5 seed), are on the same side of the bracket; it's possible the two could meet in the semifinals.

Also of note, out in Central Mass, Shrewsbury (17-3) took the top seed over cross-town rival St. John's (17-3) in Division 1, while Quaboag (19-2) took the top seed over Whitinsville Christian (17-2) in Division 3.

Be sure to check back with ESPNBoston.com over the weekend as high school editor Brendan Hall breaks down the brackets and gives you his players to watch.
