ND Prep's Birch named USA Today second team

On the heels of appearances in last month's McDonald's All-American Game in Chicago and last week's Jordan Brand Classic in Charlotte, Notre Dame Prep senior power forward Khem Birch can add one more prestigious honor to his high school career: USA Today All-American.

The 6-foot-9, 205-pound Montreal native was named to the publication's Second Team All-American squad, after a stellar season for the Crusaders in which he averaged 18 points, 13 rebounds and six blocks. Birch signed a Letter of Intent with Pittsburgh last November.
