Needham's Shelby Aubin commits to G'Town

ESPN RISE lacrosse editor Mike Loveday is reporting that Needham defender/midfielder Shelby Aubin has verbally committed to Georgetown for the fall of 2012.

Aubin scored 55 goals and 32 assists on offense, while also tallying 40 groundballs, as the Rockets advanced to the Division 1 South final this spring, losing to eventual state champion Westwood.

Loveday has more on the commitment:

ESPN RISE: What other school’s did you consider?

Shelby Aubin: "I considered U Florida and BU, but Georgetown was always my top choice."

ER: What made Georgetown such an attractive choice?

SA: "I really love the girls and coach, they truly believe in being a team on and off the field. I also love the location and atmosphere of the school itself."

ER: What surprised you about the recruiting process?

SA: What surprised me the most was how quickly your school choices can change. In a instant a school can come on or off your list.
