Cheshire Academy (Conn.) athlete Malik Golden announced earlier tonight that he will be playing for Penn State University, starting in the fall of 2012, over scholarship offers from UConn, Boston College and Iowa.

Golden took an unofficial visit to Happy Valley last weekend, and told ESPN's Roger Brown earlier today that he was considering all four "right until the end".

The 6-foot, 180-pounder joins several New Englanders in the Nittany Lions' recruiting class: New Hampton (N.H.) defensive back Jake Kiley, and Catholic Memorial's duo of linebacker Camren Williams and athlete Armani Reeves.
