A pair of standouts from last year's St. John's Prep Super 8 finalist team have given their college commitments in the past 24 hours.
First, rising sophomore Shane Eiserman, who will be playing at Cushing Academy next year, gave his commitment to UNH to join the class of 2014. Then, late last night, rising senior Sam Kurker committed to Boston University. It's unknown what year Kurker will head to Commonwealth Ave. as its possible he may play a year of juniors before enrolling.
The news was first reported by the Salem News.
Both Eiserman and Kurker have been busy this summer representing the United States at international tournaments. Eiserman joined the U-17 team at the Five Nations Tournament in Michigan earlier this month while Kurker traveled to the Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Europe last month.
