Everett's DiBiaso breaks state TD pass mark
By Brendan Hall
Everett quarterback Jonathan DiBiaso broke the state's all-time passing mark moments ago, with a 55-yard strike to Jaylen McRae in the first quarter of a league matchup with visiting Medford.
The strike to McRae was DiBiaso's fourth of the night, and 86th of his career, breaking the all-time record of 85 set by former Brockton High great Tom Colombo.
Play was stopped following the touchdown, and was presented with a gold-colored game ball at midfield by Everett Superintendent of Schools Fred Foresteire, along with a photo-op with his family.
DiBiaso threw two more touchdown passes before head coach John DiBiaso pulled the starters, up 41-0 at the half.
